If you are a client
Who actually builds my website?
Today nealvdv, as an independent freelancer for GOSH. Once the first Compagnons are ready, a Compagnon may build under nealvdv's review. You hear in advance who does it, and you always talk to Georgio.
Do I pay more for a dedicated Compagnon?
No. The dedicated Compagnon is part of the Carefree and Growth care plans, at the price shown there. A project costs the same whoever builds it.
What if my Compagnon is ill or stops?
A second Compagnon knows your project too and takes over, with the same commitments. Georgio and nealvdv always keep an eye on it, so you are never left without anyone.
Can I choose my Compagnon or meet them first?
Yes. Georgio proposes a Compagnon who suits your business and you meet before the care starts. If it does not click, we find someone else.
Who is my contact?
For your project and your business: Georgio. For the day-to-day work on your site after launch: your dedicated Compagnon. For quality: nealvdv, who reviews everything.
How do I know someone really is a Compagnon?
Every Compagnon is in the public register with a seal number. If a number on a GOSH document does not match the register, mail us straight away.

If you want to become a Compagnon
Do I need to have attended Atelier by nealvdv?
Yes. The rank of Compagnon is earned only there, with assignments nealvdv reviews one by one. That is how clients know what they get.
Do I have to be self-employed?
You work as a self-employed professional, part-time or full-time, as a subcontractor of GOSH. No company number yet? Apply anyway; we explain how to get one.
How much do I earn?
For each assignment we agree a fixed fee in advance; GOSH keeps a margin for finding clients, project lead, reviews and follow-up. We discuss the amounts at your trial assignment, honestly and upfront.
How much time does it take?
As much as you want to take on. You say yes or no per assignment. Being a client's dedicated Compagnon does ask that you stay reachable for that client.
May I keep my own clients?
Yes. What you do outside GOSH is yours. GOSH clients remain GOSH clients, and you do not use our material for your own work.
What is the trial assignment?
A real, paid assignment from a client, under nealvdv's review. Not there yet? You get an explanation of what needs to improve and may try again later.
Do I become a GOSH employee?
No. You stay self-employed and choose your assignments. You do sign a framework agreement, a confidentiality agreement and the charter, and you receive a seal number in the register.
